Activities
Co-curricular activities are taken up in schools to bring out social skills, intellectual skills, moral values, personality development and character building in the children. These activities are designed and balanced with the school academic curriculum so as to make the students learn beyond the subjects / books. By having curricular activities, the teaching & learning process becomes exciting so that the students and teachers experience best results.
Pre-Primary
In Pre-Primary stage, St. Xavier’s follows the Montessori system and children have 3 stages learning in Mont-I, Mont-II and Mont-III before to getting in to Std-I. During this period the ration of Activity and academics is 50:50.
Primary
Std-I to Std-V is considered to be lower primary in which the ration of activity to academics remains 40:60.
Std-VI to Std-VII is considered to be Upper primary in which the ration of activity to academics remains 30:70.
Secondary
Std-IX to Std-X is considered to be Secondary level that follows the CBSE Curriculum strictly and to make students to meet the global challenges activities are being introduced balancing with their academic syllabus at a ratio of activity to academics as 20:80, however complete focus on academics is given in Std-X.
Sr. Secondary
Std-XI to Std-XII is considered to be Sr. Secondary level that follows the CBSE Curriculum strictly and complete focus on academics is given in this level.
